Cystic fibrosis is a genetic disorder that affects the lungs, pancreas, and other organs. A defect in the gene causes the body to develop a thick, sticky mucus that covers the organs and attract bacteria, causing persistent lung infections, digestive issues and limits the ability to breath over time.
Currently there is no cure.
